Drug Take Back collects nearly 90 pounds

In collaboration with the National Drug Take Back April 28, Cpl. Vivian Lozano-Stafford said 88 pounds of medication was collected at the Senior Center.

Shawnee Mall host to food fest

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Shawnee Mall is presenting a Food Truck Festival in the south parking lot near Joann Fabrics and Crafts. Featured will be food, kids activities and live music.

Forum set Saturday for SQ 788 — medical marijuana legalization initiative

An Educational Forum on State Question 788 is scheduled for Shawnee from 7-8:30 p.m. Saturday. The event will be held in the Municipal Auditorium, 401 N. Bell in Shawnee and is open to the public.

The event is hosted by Oklahomans for Cannabis.

Downtown Farmers Market begins

The Downtown Block Party Neighborhood Farmers Market is set to begin from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 18, at Celebration of Life Park on the 300 block of Main Street — and return for each monthly Block Party event. The market should be available each third Friday through Nov. 16.
