A second arrest has been made in the child abuse death of a 2-year-old Wellston boy who prosecutors say suffered “horrendous” injuries.

Pottawatomie/Lincoln County First Assistant District Attorney Adam Panter said the boy died at an Edmond hospital over the weekend.

The toddler's mother, Judith Cheyann Danker, 19, was arrested Sunday night and jailed in the Lincoln County jail without bond on a murder complaint. Formal charges have not been filed.

Thursday, Panter said the mother's boyfriend, Khristian Tyler Martzall, 27, is also jailed on a murder complaint in this case. An investigation continues.

The child lived with his mother and her boyfriend in Wellston, Panter said, and the mother was reportedly rushing the child to the closest Emergency Room in Edmond. An ambulance met them en route and transported the child, who died a short time after arrival at the hospital.

“The child had physical injuries all over his body,” Panter said.

He called the injuries “horrendous,” and said they included open sores all over the child's body, including some that were gangrenous. The boy also had bruises covering his body, Panter said, and several broken bones.

Although the medical examiner's autopsy information is still pending, Panter said they have concurred the child had a “serious head injury.”
