Maud's Braylen Brewer will be playing in this weekend's 8-man football all-star game in Miami, Oklahoma.

Brewer was the team's starting quarterback his senior season and was a standout receiver the Tigers squad as a junior.

“Braylen was a joy to coach and was a very coachable young man that always put the team first,” Maud coach Brant Hayes said. “He was a great receiver that we had to move to quarterback for his senior season and he played well.”

Brewer helped his team to a 58-8 week one win over Bowlegs last season. In the opening game, Brewer had 57 yards passing and one touchdown. He also carried the rock five times for 148 yards and two touchdowns.

As a junior, Brewer had over 1,000 yards receiving and proved to be an all-purpose player eclipsing 1,000 yards passing as a senior.

The Oklahoma 8-man Football All Star game will be played at the Miami Multi-Purpose Sports Complex at Red Robertson Field Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
