The Dale Board of Education approved switching property and casualty insurance for the 2018-2019 school year at their Monday meeting.
The district will switch from the Oklahoma School Risk Management Trust (OSRMT) to the Oklahoma School Insurance Group (OSIG). The quote from OSIG is about $8,000 less than the quote from OSRMT.
The board approved every item on Monday night’s agenda, including hiring Danny Cabaniss as a 9th and 10th grade English teacher, as well as hiring Kaydee Folmer and LeAnn Thornton as elementary teacher aides for the 2018-2019 school year.
Superintendent Charlie Dickinson updated the Board and attendees on construction progress. Dickinson said construction on the walls began last Friday in the locker rooms, and the red bars are a few days away from completion.
The Board also approved the hiring of Brent Vanlandingham for security/maintenance.
