United Way of Pottawatomie County is planning a Fiesta.  With a street taco menu prepared by Chef Matthew Johnson, dinner is sure to be a hit.  The Campaign Kick-Off will feature a local version of ‘The Voice’ competition, and the top four contestants will perform live at the event on August 25.

Sponsorships and tickets are now available for the event.  With three different sponsorship levels, and individual tickets, there is sure to be a spot for everyone.  “This year, we are asking individuals or businesses that may not be able to attend, but that would still like to be involved in our event to sponsor tickets or a table for our twenty-one Partner Agencies,” said Executive Director, Lindsay Dyer.  “Our agencies are all running on a tight budget, and this would be a great way to ensure the agencies can still attend the event.”

“Our mission at United Way is to go out into our community and help those who need our help the most.  The idea with our Kick-Off this year is to create an annual event in our community to raise the recognition of the organizations we help each year along with raising money for United Way of Pottawatomie County,” said Nick Atwood, United Way of Pottawatomie County Drive Chair.  Kick-Off will take place on August 25th at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center and will feature live music by United Way of Pottawatomie County ‘The Voice’ contestants, a street taco style dinner, a photo booth, and tons of fun.

If interested in being a contestant in the competition, be on the lookout for more information to come, or follow United Way of Pottawatomie County on Facebook for updates.  Submissions for ‘The Voice’ will be accepted via e-mail beginning July 23rd.  It is not too early to begin working on your submission video.
