Dale Warren Wilson, (Depa-ta-wee-semo), 64, of Wolf Point, Montana, passed away at his home Friday, July 6, 2018.

He was born Sept. 6, 1953, in Shawnee to Loa Marie Greenfeather-Beasley and Isreal Joseph Wilson. After losing his father at a very young age, his mother was remarried to George Beasley, who raised Dale as his own.

He attended school at the old Johnson school in Johnson, Oklahoma, until moving to Casper, Wyoming. It was there that he met his lifelong friend, Joe Puettman, who he considered his brother and who he held a special bond with throughout their lives. He finished his schooling in Casper and graduated from Natrona County High School in 1971.

After high school he decided to join his father, George, working in the oil fields of Wyoming and Montana. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and excelled at any sport he played, winning many tournaments across the country in softball and basketball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything to do with the outdoors. He worked as an oilfield hand, heavy equipment operator, and as a general laborer for many years of his life.

He took great pride in his Native American heritage as a member of the Sac and Fox Tribe and of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe. He was always passing down his wisdom of the traditional ways to his children, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many and will forever be remembered for his easy going and caring personality.

Preceding him death were his parents, Loa Marie Greenfeather-Beasley, Isreal Wilson, and George Beasley; brother, George Cadue; two sisters; Ramona Cadue-McCoy and Jorene Wilson-Martinez; and his son, Joseph Wilson.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela Wilson of Shawnee; son, James Wilson of Wolf Point; three grandsons, Zerik Sheets, Brady Sheets, and Jaidon Douglas; great-granddaughter, Zae’Lynn Sheets; lifelong friend, Joseph Puettman of Casper; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

Wake services will be held Friday, July 13, at 7 p.m. at Horseshoe Bend Community Center with burial services Saturday, July 14, at 10 a.m. at Garden Grove Cemetery.
