Everyone knows an amazing teacher.

The News-Star has teamed up with Patriot Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Chandler to recognize the amazing teachers from the newspaper's three county coverage area.

One teacher will win $500 for a classroom project and four more finalists will be chosen to win $250 each for classroom projects.

Anyone can nominate a teacher who has made an impact on students or who goes the extra mile for their students. We will have ballots in the print edition of the News-Star and on our website at http://promotions.news-star.com/engine/Welcome.aspx?contestid=437893 and we will also post the link to nominate a teacher on Facebook and Twitter.

Teachers must be nominated by July 26 to be honored and have a chance to win.

The winners will be announced and the other nominees honored in a special section in the News-Star on August 5.

This sponsorship follows the Patriot Auto Group plan of giving back to the communities where they do business. Patriot Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram gives away a car to the Student of the Year and they also sponsor the Firefighter of the Year awards event.

"We have truly enjoyed the partnership with Patriot since they opened the dealership in Chandler," said News-Star Publisher Kent Bush. "Tatton Manning and Seth Knighton are great to work with and they really believe in giving back to the community. Sponsoring the Amazing Teacher prizes is just another example of how they help make great things happen."
