The Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center is excited to welcome both new and annual events to the community this August. There are several unique events and family-friendly entertainment opportunities to enjoy.

Jim Ware’s Triangle Horse Sale

Jim Ware’s Triangle Sales returns to the Expo Center for their 31st annual Summer Sale Saturday, Aug. 11. The sale features top-bred nominated horses exclusively from Oklahoma. Events start at 8 a.m. with a pre-sale team roping and barrel demonstration and will continue at 9 a.m. with the select cutting/cow horse session. C&L Antique Arms

C&L Antique Arms will hold its Indian Territory Antique and Collector Arms Show at the Expo Center Saturday, Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday, Aug. 12 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Buy, sell and trade antique and collector firearms, old and rare ammunition, western and Indian artifacts, old west memorabilia, bits and spurs, civil war items, coins and anything related to the firearms industry or western frontier. Bring your guns and related items to sell, trade, or just to see what they are and worth. General admission is $8 for adults. Children 12 and under get in free with an accompanying adult. Two Sisters Flea Market

Two Sisters Flea Market is also having an exhibition at the Expo Center Aug. 20 and 21. The market will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. This shopping event is home to more than 100 vendor booths and is guaranteed to have something for everyone. This event has free admission and will provide hours of fun for the whole family.

Cops N Kids

Shawnee Cops N Kids moves to the Expo Center Saturday, Aug. 25. Children are invited to meet police officers and other responders as they participate in rides, games, exhibits and many other fun activities. This event is open to the public from 1 to 4 p.m.

United Way Campaign Kick-Off

The United Way of Pottawatomie County campaign kick-off will be hosted at the Expo Center Saturday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. This free event will feature street tacos, live music and lots of fun all while giving back to the community!

Labor Day Boer Goat Classic Sale

The Labor Day Boer Goat Classic Sale will be held this month at the Expo Center. This sale features award winning Boer goat breeders across the nation. The public viewing is Friday, Aug. 31 at 5 p.m. and the auction is Saturday, Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. Upon purchase, animal transportation will be available for many
