A former McLoud volunteer firefighter has been formally charged in a case involving lewd acts, court records show.

Eugene Alan Sordahl, 32, is charged in Pottawatomie County District Court Tuesday with one count of lewd acts to a child under 16 and one count of sexual battery, both felonies.

The McLoud Police Department investigated this case last month, at which time Sordahl was reported to be a volunteer firefighter; Sordahl is reportedly no longer associated with the fire department.

An arrest affidavit filed with the case shows Sordahl was arrested in this matter on July 24.

According to the affidavit, allegations involve two females who reportedly lived in a home with their mother and Sordahl.

The investigation started after an initial domestic violence call at that McLoud home, the court document shows, with McLoud police later visiting with the two females at the police station about inappropriate comments or behavior.

The filing doesn't show a next court date and no attorney of record is listed. Watch for updates.
