SHAWNEE – The Bethel Lady Wildcats went 1-1 Thursday at the 2018 Chisholm Trail Classic.

In the first game, Bethel won in dramatic fashion when Brooklyn Giddens bunted, reaching on a throwing error that scored Jordan Blair, giving the Lady Wildcats a 4-3 victory over Pauls Valley.

Skylar Fletcher drove in the first run of the game for Bethel on a single that scored Giddens.

Skylar Pollard gave Bethel a 2-0 lead on a single that scored Lilla Wade.

Pauls Valley took a short-term lead with three runs in the fourth inning.

In the seventh, Lilla Wade singled to score Audrey Wade, bringing the score even at 3-3.

Jordyn Zachary earned the win, going eight innings, striking out eight.

The second game did not go as well. The Lady Wildcats wound up losing 12-4 against Ardmore.

Rian Gamble went two for three with an RBI and a run scored in the loss. Pollard also picked up an RBI.

Zachary took the loss in game two, giving up 11 earned runs, while striking out eight.

Bethel returns to action Friday when they face Bridge Creek at 4 p.m. and Washington at 5:30 p.m.
