Mr. and Mrs. Joe Houck of Oklahoma City, announce the engagement of their daughter, Tasha Jo Houck, to Matthew Scott Barnett, son of Mr. Scott Barnett, of Macomb, and Ms. Sharon Barnett, of Tecumseh.

The bride-to-be is the director of sales and marketing for the Embassy Suites Oklahoma City Downtown Medical Center. She is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in business. Tasha completed the NACUFS Internship at the University of Notre Dame. She received the Certified Meeting Planner designation and acceptance into Hilton Hotels and Resorts Elite Director of Sales program.

Tasha’s father Joe is a retired Army veteran as well as a retiree of the Goff Corporation.

Joe served as a Deacon for Hilltop Assembly of God Church in Earlsboro for two decades.

Her mother, Sandra, is operations manager for customer service at Integris Healthcare in Oklahoma City.

The bride’s grandparents include the late Clinton and Lola T. Davidson, of Seminole and the late Raymond and Ruby Houck, also of Seminole.

Barnett earned his degree in mass communication from the University of Central Oklahoma and is employed as audio technician and floor director at the Oklahoma news station, KFOR-TV.

The mother of the groom is Sharon Barnett, educator at Tecumseh Public Schools. His father is retired businessman Scott Barnett. The grandparents of the groom are Dorothy Craig, and the late Henry Craig, of Tecumseh, and Vernon and Rose Mary Barnett of Macomb.

The October ceremony will be held in Goldsby, Oklahoma, at Southwind Hills Barn Estate with brunch and wedding reception to follow.
