Bolstered by a two-double, three-RBI performance from cleanup hitter Jordyn Zachary, Bethel knocked off Bridge Creek 4-2 Friday at the Chisholm Trail Classic.

Rian Gamble, Bethel’s leadoff hitter, was 3 for 3 with a double and two singles. Reanna McGowen added two singles and scored twice.

Bridge Creek scored its two runs in the fourth after Bethel took a 4-0 lead. Both teams finished with eight hits.

Zachary’s complete-game pitching win included five strikeouts and no walks. One of the Bridge Creek runs was unearned.

Gamble also stole two bases.

Bethel wasn’t so fortunate against Washington, dropping a 6-1 decision.

Bethel was held to four hits, including a double and single by Skylar Fletcher.

The Lady Wildcats are slated to play Mustang’s JV squad at 10 a..m. today.
