CHANDLER – The Lady Lions scored consistently throughout the evening, beating Chisholm 8-2 Tuesday evening.

In the bottom of the first inning, Makalyn Herring drove in Kelsey Williams for the first run of the game.

Chandler added another run in the third inning on a Presley Martzall single that scored Morgan Fowble.

Chisholm's first run came in the top of the fourth inning.

The Lady Lions picked up the pace in the fifth inning when Jaelyn Robertson drove in Herring and Kylee Lynch to extend the Chandler lead to 4-1. Abbey Russell continued the trend, driving in Robertson for a 5-1 lead.

Russell would later score on a passed ball and Chandler took a 6-1 lead into the sixth inning,

Chisholm managed their second run in the top of the sixth.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Chandler's Roberton was able to reach on a throwing error by the pitcher and Herring crossed home plate for a 7-2 lead.

Russell drove in Martzall for the eighth and final run for Chandler.

Chandler's next game will be at Prague on Aug. 18. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Kylee Lynch was on fire in the circle, striking out 12 in the complete game win.
