DALE — The brother combination of senior Cooper Hunt and sophomore Karson Hunt hit back-to-back home runs Thursday, propelling Dale to a 10-0 triumph over Okarche.

The Pirates were already up 7-0 after two innings when Cooper and Carson went long ball.

The game was stopped after 4 ½ innings on the run rule.

Starter Jono Johnson earned the victory after allowing one hit and striking out five in three innings. He didn’t permit a walk.

Ike Shirey, who pitched the last two innings, didn’t allow a hit and walked two.

Cooper Hunt, Jared Rogers and Tanner Collins notched two hits apiece for the victors. The Hunts were joined by David Herring in the two-RBI department. Dale finished with 10 hits (in four innings) and didn’t commit an error.

Bryce Crawford stole two bases.

“We swung the bats well and pitched well,” said Dale head coach Eddie Jeffcoat.

Dale, 4-1, will entertain Kiowa at 4:30 today.
