JONES — Pitcher Harley Sturm didn’t surrender an earned run and clubbed a home run Thursday as Tecumseh upended Jones 6-2.
Jones tallied single runs in the first and fourth innings as Tecumseh committed two errors.
Sturm gave up four hits, fanned seven and walked two in seven innings. She went 3 for 4 at the plate, including a double and drove in two runs.
Leadoff batter Channing Scallorn also went 3 for 4 with a double and two singles. She scored twice.
Taylor Frizzell had two singles in a 2-for-4 day. She also had two RBI.
Emily Bingham added a sacrifice fly.
Tecumseh, 3-3, will play two games today at the Tuttle Festival. The Lady Savages will oppose Drumright at 4 and Colbert at 5:30.
Tecumseh’s next home game is Monday against Newcastle in a 5 p.m. varsity/junior varsity doubleheader.
