DALE — Dale combined eight hits with three walks and four Kiowa errors for a 9-1 victory Friday.

The Pirates, 5-1, used three pitchers — Cooper Hunt, Bryce Crawford and Jared Rogers — in the six-inning matchup, which ended in the bottom of the sixth on the eight-run rule. Hunt, the starter, earned the pitching win after allowing two hits, fanning three and walking one in three innings.

Jono Johnson and Tanner Collins had two hits apiece with Johnson’s double the only extra-base hit of the day.

Dale was never threatened after tallying five runs in the bottom of the first. Rogers and Ike Shirey had a stolen base apiece in the game.

The Pirates will travel to Oktaha Monday, then entertain Stonewall Tuesday.
