EL RENO – The Shawnee bats were on fire as the Lady Wolves racked up 33 hits in two games, going 2-0 in the first day of the El Reno tournament Friday. In the first game, Shawnee beat El Reno 16-4 in four innings. The Lady Wolves scored two runs in the first, one in the second, four in the third, one in the fourth and eight in the fifth.
Kristin Haddox was 2 for 2 with two homers in game one. She had a tworun bomb in the first and a solo shot in the fourth inning. She finished game one with 3 RBIs and recorded two walks.
Tatum Sparks went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs, Saidey Smith went 2 for 4, Carly Torbett went 2 for 4.
Brittany Harmon, Laynie Rimer and Skyla Copeland all had three hits in the the victory.
Stormee Reed picked up the win, pitching all five innings, striking out three.
In game two, Shawnee continued to score often. They managed one run in the first, eight in the third and one in the fourth.
Smith went yard with a solo shot in the third. She added a double in the first inning.
Sparks went 3 for 3 with two doubles in the second game.
Rimer joined her with three hits and Harmon added two more.
Bailey Enright picked up the win in game two, pitching all four innings.
Shawnee returns to action Saturday against Lawton MacArthur at 11:30 a.m.
