TECUMSEH — The Lady Savages of Tecumseh were limited to three singles and three walks Monday in a 3-0 loss to Newcastle.

Harley Sturm had two singles and Emily Bingham added the other single as Tecumseh dropped below .500 at 4-5.

Sturm, who took the pitching loss, surrendered 11 hits but wiggled out of several jams. The Racers left 12 runners on base.

Fifteen of Tecumseh’s 21 outs came via strikeouts. The Lady Savages drew just three walks.

Three Newcastle batters posted two hits.

Tecumseh will try to get back on the winning track today at 5 p.m. with a varsity/JV doubleheader against visiting Harrah.

Tecumseh will compete in the Prague Tournament Thursday and Friday.
