McLOUD — The Lady Redskins of McLoud earned a split with Bridge Creek Thursday, prevailing 9-3 before falling 6-3.

The hosts compiled 14 hits in their win with Callie Cardin depositing three singles.

Karlie Norwood, Gabby Sears, Makyna Higdon and Rachelle Stephens added two hits with Sears doubling.

McLoud was down 3-1 when it scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Sears earned the pitching victory with a seven-inning six-hitter. One of the runs was unearned as Sears fashioned three strikeouts and walked four.

Bridge Creek responded by outhitting McLoud 10-8 to earn the split.

Norwood, the three-hole hitter, was 3 for 4 with a double. Shyann Shipman and Rachelle Stephens recorded two singles each and Sears doubled.

Sears took the pitching loss, walking four.

McLoud will entertain Holdenville at 4:30 today in a varsity/JV doubleheader.
