June Primary

In the June primary, though a winner could have been named since all four candidates were Republicans, a runoff was needed.

In June, Sterling (37.80 percent) and Spaulding (37.44 percent) tallied votes neck-and-neck, tying with the highest numbers in their race, but not enough to secure a win — more than 50 percent.

Other Republican candidates in June were Jason Harris (14.11 percent) and Joseph H. Blanchard (10.66 percent).

Initial results

Initial ballot results are gathered from the Oklahoma Election Board, at ok.gov; until certified, the website warns the voting results are not yet verified or official, and do not include provisional ballot results until after Aug. 31. Results also are subject to contest or recount at this time.
