DALE – Jaxon Wright and Karson Hunt combined for a three-hit shutout of Amber-Pocasset (Ampo) Monday Evening. The Pirate bats torched Ampo for eight runs in the five inning victory.

Jared Rogers led off the second inning with a solo home run. Bryce Crawford followed the solo blast with a walk and scored on a Jono Johnson single to center field.

Johnson's courtesy runner, Dillon Watkins scored on a Tanner Collins single for a 3-0 Dale advantage. Ike Shirey continued the hot streak, bringing Johnson home on a double. David Herring capped the inning off with a single that scored Shirey and Cade McQuain. After two innings, Dale led 6-0 after two innings.

McQuain hit a solo home run to lead off the fourth inning. Later in the inning, Karson Hunt's double scored Cooper Hunt, scoring Dale's eighth and final run of the game.

Dale's Collins and Shirey both went 2 for 2 in the win. Both players had an RBI and scored one run apiece.

Cooper Hunt, Carson Hunt, Herring, Rogers, Johnson and McQuain all recorded one hit.

Collins, Shirey, Watkins and Cooper Hunt all added a stolen base.

Jaxon Wright went four innings and struck out four Ampo batters. He surrendered two hits and walked one. Karson Hunt pitched one inning in relief.
