Macomb Public Schools has released information that one of the district's teachers has been arrested.

In the news release, which Superintendent Matt Riggs posted to the district's Facebook page, he reports they received word about the arrest Tuesday, although they are still awaiting more information.

"...the subject matter pertaining to the arrest occurred off campus, so no children were harmed or at risk at any time. As this is an ongoing investigation, we cannot at this time make any further comment, but we will work closely with law enforcement..."

The teacher's name was not released by the school. It's unclear which law enforcement agency is working the case, but the investigation does not involve local law enforcement.
