DEL CITY — Ashley Kasterke recorded 22 kills, three aces and six digs Tuesday as Shawnee deflated Del City 25-4, 25-8, 25-7.

Brooklyn Fluke also had a big night with 15 kills, four aces and 11 digs.

Olivia Barlean notched three aces and 10 digs, while Scotlyn Britt posted 10 digs. Payton McNeil and Shyra Crowley chipped in with five kills.

“We played well against Del City,” Shawnee head coach Julia Holland said. “Our serves were very aggressive and we were able to get our offense going. Ashley and Brooklyn had a great night in the front row. Our passes also looked really good from Olivia and Scotlyn, which helped us be able to get the offense going.”

Shawnee’s junior varsity clipped Del City 25-7, 25-7 and Shawnee’s ninth-grade squad was victorious 25-7, 25-10.

Shawnee’s next action will be Tuesday against visiting Newcastle. The ninth graders will kick off the tripleheader at 4 p.m., followed by the JV at 5 and the varsity at 6.
