• Look for some unique finds: There will be free admission Saturday and Sunday at the Shawnee Trading Post Flea Market, 7109 N. Kickapoo. The event is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days as members of the Shawnee community and the surrounding areas will be there to buy and sell a variety of quality new and used products.

• Enjoy a pancake breakfast: American Legion Post #260 will have a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Cost is $5, and there will be vintage cartoons shown to recreate childhood memories or waffles and Saturday morning cartoons. The pancake breakfast takes place the first Saturday of every month. The American Legion is located at 201 E. Park St. in Tecumseh.

• Get produce from local farmers: McLoud Farmers Market, 1060 W. Broadway in McLoud, will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

• Join a benefit motorcycle ride: The 6th annual Ride for Recovery will be Sunday, Sept. 2 for the J.D. McCarty Center to benefit children with special needs. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and Kickstands are up at 11 a.m. The ride begins and ends at Rosewood Farms at Shawnee Twin Lakes, 33001 Lake Road, one mile west of SH 102 and Lake Road. The run ends with lunch for $10 a plate, included with paid rider or couple. There are 50/50 raffle-prizes, high hand $200, low hand $100. Registration is $20 per single or $30 per couple.
