ASHER – The Class B No. 7 Asher Indians upended Class A No. 20 Stuart 8-3 Tuesday evening.

Both Stuart and Asher scored one run in the second inning. The Indians picked up the pace in the third inning, when they scored six runs.

Patch Hamilton hit a solo homer in the fourth inning to extend the Asher lead to 8-1. Stuart made things interesting with two runs in the sixth.

Tye Weeks, , Trevor Martin, Dylan Will, Braden Sanders and Hamilton all recorded two hits each in the win.

Jake Dobbs and Chase Eckert had one hit apiece.

Hamilton and Eckert were the only two Indians batters with two runs scored. Dobbs, Martin,Will and Hustin Melton all scored one run.

As a team, the Indians had eight base hits, two doubles and two triples. The team also walked eight times.

Hamilton and Martin went yard for Asher.

Sanders took the mound for the Indians pitching a complete game. He struck out 10 Stuart batters.

Asher will face Oktaha Thursday in the Red River Rumble at Murray State College. First pitch is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
