Wewoka Tigers (1-1) at Seminole Chieftains (2-0) - 7 p.m.
The Chieftains blanked Tecumseh 18-0 on Friday. So far this season, the Seminole scoring machine has outscored their opponents 57-7. Seminole has the area's third-leading rusher in Cameron Gunville in the backfield. On the season, Gunville leads the team with 245 yards and three touchdowns. Last week the defense was led by Jared Stewart's three sacks.
In week one, Wewoka lost to Holdenville 44-21 and turned around and beat Ada's junior varsity 30-22 in week two.
Maud Tigers (2-0) at Paoli Pugs (2-1) – 7 p.m.
So far this season the Maud Tigers have scored early and often. In two weeks they've outscored their opponents 104-6. In week one, quarterback Lane Brooks accounted for six Maud touchdowns. In the 54-6 win over Sasakwa in Week two, Brooks tossed two touchdowns and ran one. Tiger's running back Brady Arms is currently tied for second in the area with four rushing touchdowns.
In three games so far this season, the Pugs have been outscored 70-54.
Chandler Lions (1-1) at Mount St. Mary Rockets (1-1) – 7 p.m.
Chandler returns after a bye week and hits the road to face a Rockets squad fresh off a 32-8 win over Crooked Oak. Chandler runs the ball and does it well. Starting back Dylan McKinney ranks fourth in the area in rushing yards. Quarterback Chabon Anderson is a threat running the ball. Anderson has rushed for 120 yards and a score in two games. Receiver Darian Mahan has two receiving touchdowns and Dylan Mahan caught a touchdown in week one.
Mount St. Mary has outscored its opponents 32-21.
McLoud Redskins (1-1) at Perkins-Tryon (2-0) – 7 p.m.
Rusty Hall and the Redskins picked up a 28-26 victory over Bethel last week. Quarterback Koalton Keller has thrown two touchdowns each week and totaled 286 yards through the air. Damien Dye averages 78 yards per game and has three touchdowns. Tyler Jones upped his production in week two with a 92 yard one touchdown performance.
Last year, Perkins-Tryon beat the Redskins 49-21 in McLoud.
Tecumseh Savages (1-1) at Bridge Creek (1-1) – 7:30 p.m.
The Savages hope to get back on track after an 18-0 loss to Seminole last week. Ty Bullock and the Savages will continue to rely on their running game. Micah Boyce leads the team with 159 yards and a touchdown. Teammate Jaylen Walker had a breakout week one and totaled 148 yards and three scores.
Bridge Creek won a close game week one with a 26-20 win over Little Axe and lost big to Lindsay 43-14 in week two.
Prague Red Devils (1-1) at Luther Lions (0-2) – 7:30 p.m.
Prague picked up a much needed win last week over Stroud. The Red Devils gave Brayden McGinnis the ball 30 times and he ran for 218 yards and three touchdowns. Eli Smith intercepted a pass last week for his first of the season. Tyler Carpenter recorded 13 tackles in the win.
Luther has struggled so far this season, losing both contest by an 81-34 margin.
