Delanie Manning twirled a four-hitter and recorded a 2-run double Friday as Dale brushed aside Washington 4-1 at the Dale Festival at FireLake.

Manning fanned six and walked one in a six-inning time-limit game. All four Washington hits were singles.

Manning’s twoi-run line-drive double over the third-base bag gave Dale a 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning.

Sarah Lock made it 4-1 with a fifth inning sacrifice fly which scored Lacey Savage. Savage, who also scored in the second, had three singles.

Dale, 24-3, will play Newcastle at 10 a.m. Saturday in further Dale Festival action.

The Lady Pirates have scheduled a makeup doubleheader with Crossings Christian at 4:30 Monday at Dale, then travel to Chandler Tuesday for a 4:30 matchup. Dale has a rescheduled game with Crescent at 4:30 Thursday at before closing out a busy week at 4:30 Friday at Bethel.
