Bethel High School senior Gracie O'Rorke, one of the two September finalists, has been named The Shawnee News-Star and Patriot Auto Group Student of the Month for 2018-19.

Bethel High School Counselor Linsy Ingmire said O'Rorke is a true leader at Bethel High School.

“Gracie is an outstanding and exceptional student,” Ingmire said. “She is driven and enthusiastic about all aspects of her life.”

Being recognized for her hard work, O'Rorke has achieved a spot as a finalist for a chance to win a car from Patriot Auto Group.

Ingmire said O'Rorke is the district president for Student Council, an Academic Team member, NHS and GT member, and has attended numerous conferences with leadership activities.

O'Rorke has volunteer experience with the Metro American Red Cross, as a teacher's aide and as a STEM camp mentor, among other things.
