Vision Bank announces Packwood as president

Jim Hamby, chief executive officer of Vision Bank, announced that Carl Packwood has been named president of Vision Bank Shawnee.
Packwood was born and raised in Shawnee and is graduate of Shawnee High School. He earned an associate’s degree from Seminole Junior College and a finance degree from East Central University in Ada.
Packwood has worked at BancFirst for the past 10 years in the Shawnee, Tecumseh and McLoud branches, and most recently served as vice president and manager of the bank in Tecumseh. There, Packwood was recognized with the BancFirst Certified Master Lender Award.
Packwood has attended the Oklahoma Bankers Association Commercial Lending School.
He is the treasurer of the Youth and Family Resource Center Board and the Gordon Cooper Technology Center Foundation Board, and serves on the Shawnee Educational Foundation and the Shawnee Civic and Cultural Development Authority. He is a member of the Shawnee Kiwanis Club and the South Central Industries Board.
Packwood is a Leadership Shawnee graduate. He is the Current Friends of Scouting chairman and is the past finance chairman of the Last Frontier Council Boy Scouts of American.
Packwood is a member of the Shawnee and Tecumseh chambers of commerce.
He and his wife, Cindy, have one daughter, Taylor, 11. They are members of First Baptist Church of Shawnee, where Packwood serves as a deacon. In his spare time, Packwood enjoys golfing, camping and fishing.
Packwood will temporarily serve at the Vision Bank Loan Production Office at 3813 N. Harrison in Shawnee, while the bank builds a new facility at 4301 N. Harrison.
