Steve Reese has been appointed to a second two-year term on the Professional Development Committee for the National Association of Realtors.
Reese was first appointed while he was the Director of Professional Development and Marketing for the Oklahoma Association of Realtors in Oklahoma City.
He is now actively involved in residential sales for Prudential Carolyn Harris Reality in Shawnee.
This 31-member national committee establishes future initiatives for NAR education, manages the Graduate Realtor Institute designation program including the accreditation process and promotes cooperative educational efforts with state and local associations and other industry-related organizations.
Members are selected by their experience chairing a state or local education committee, real estate training, as a GRI instructor and the possession of realtor family professional designations.
In addition to the GRI, Reese holds the Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation, At Home with Diversity certification, the e-PRO Internet connected certification and the Certified Home Marketing Specialist certification for home staging.
He is currently working toward the Accredited Buyer Representative and Certified Residential Specialist designations and is also an approved technology instructor with the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission.
Reese believes that the consumer ultimately benefits the most from Realtors who acquire advanced education and professional designations.
“The way real estate is marketed changes so rapidly with the advances in technology,” Reese said.
“Today’s consumer is far ahead of where most real estate practitioners are technologically. They demand-and-deserve thoroughly trained professionals managing their real estate transactions.”
