The Shawnee Educational Foundation is seeking nominations for its annual Hall of Fame award.
Recipients are recognized at the Hall of Fame banquet in February of each year.
Deadline for receipt of nominations is Oct. 1 according to Kellie Steele, president of the Shawnee Educational Foundation.
The Hall of Fame honors outstanding alumni and former students of the Shawnee Public Schools, Grove School, North Rock Creek School, Pleasant Grove School and South Rock Creek School.
Individuals who have ever attended any one of these schools at any grade level may be nominated. The nominee does not have to be a graduate of Shawnee High School.
Other than attending one of the schools, nominated individuals must meet the following criteria:
• The nominee must have achieved excellence in a field of endeavor, profession or vocation with community, state or national recognition.
• The nominee should be a person of outstanding moral character who would bring pride to the community and to the Foundation.
• All living inductees must attend the Hall of Fame ceremony, scheduled for Feb. 3.
• If the award is posthumous, a family member must attend the induction ceremony.
