Newman University graduates class of 2009

Newman University celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2009 with commencement exercises on May 16 at Central Community Church in Wichita, Kan. This year, 313 candidates for graduation participated in the commencement ceremony, including some students scheduled to complete their degree requirements in the summer 2009 semester.
The graduating class included 32 candidates for associate’s degrees, 133 candidates for bachelor’s degrees and 148 candidates for master’s degrees.
Shawnee resident William Thurman, who earned his bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry, was among them.
