Oklahoma Baptist University has extended a hearty invitation for students to continue their education during January Term classes by offering free classes and free housing to qualifying students.
Any student who currently resides on campus, or who will live on campus during the Spring 2010 semester, and who is enrolled in a J-Term class, can live on Bison Hill for free during J-Term. The only expense is the purchase of a meal plan, which already is a requirement for all on-campus students.
The meal plan costs $181 and is a 10-meal plan which includes lunch and dinner Monday-Friday (no breakfasts or Saturday/Sunday meals).
Three free First Year Experience courses are offered for qualifying freshmen: Success 101, Success 102 and Christian Worldview. Each course merits one credit hour.
OBU faculty members have developed six other innovative one-hour First Year Experience courses also geared toward freshmen.
Along with these offerings, there are many additional courses available during the three-week session.
These are listed in the J-Term Courses and are available online at www.okbu.edu/academics/january10.pdf.
Students may register for J-Term now in the Academic Center. For more information, call 878-2023 or e-mail info@okbu.edu.
