Shawnee residents Evan Blackstone and Kenneth Whitmore were listed on the Dean’s List at William Jewell College for their academic performance during the spring 2009 semester.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average while carrying 14 or more semester hours.
Blackstone is a senior history major. Whitmore is a junior studying physics and chemistry.
Whitmore also received the James R. Eaton Scholarship for achievement as a sophomore or junior physics major and the Wallace A. Hilton Physics Scholarship for independent study in physics.
