Eighth grade students Ian Hughes and Katelyn Holland were named October’s students of the month at McLoud Junior High School.
Both students demonstrate a helpful, positive and caring attitude.
Hughes loves to swim, eat, hang out with his friends, and text on his phone.
He is the secretary of the Zoology Club, the president of the Builder’s Club and a student council judge.
He also serves as office aide for McLoud High School.
Holland loves to go to school, babysit and hang out with her friends.
She enjoys camping and fishing during the summer and her favorite television show is Grey’s Anatomy.
She plans to become a kindergarten teacher one day.
“Congratulations to both students for setting an excellent example to others,” Joselene Chandler, school counselor, said.
