Reports show U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin raised more money than her Democratic opponent in the governor's race during the most recent campaign reporting period. She also had more than twice as much cash on hand.

Monday at midnight was the deadline for gubernatorial candidates to file contribution and expense reports from July 13 to Aug. 9.

Democratic nominee Lt. Gov. Jari Askins reported raising $296,000 during that period, including a $100,000 loan to her campaign.

Fallin reported raising $319,000 during the same period.

Fallin also reported having more than $805,000 in campaign funds remaining at the end of the reporting period, compared to about $352,000 for Askins.
