AARP to hold meeting Saturday

Chapter 2654 of the American Association of Retired Persons will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church cafeteria. Board members meet at 9:30 a.m.
Karen Cleveland, volunteer coordinator with Heartland Hospice, along with veterans of the Armed Forces will present a patriotic program which includes the actual folding of the flag.
Veterans participating are Earl Herron, U.S. Air Force; Richard Newell Sr., U.S. Air Force; Glen Barnett, U.S. Army; Ron Minion, U.S. Navy; and Mary Minion, U.S. Navy.
Members are reminded to bring homemade cookies to be sent to the men and women serving overseas.
