The Shawnee Gem and Mineral Club will meet 6:30 p.m. at the Shawnee Public Library. Visitors are welcome.

Shawnee High School class of 1958 reunion committee will meet 6:30 p.m. at Van’s Pig Stand on East Highland.

The Parish Guild meeting scheduled 1 p.m. today at St. Benedict has been changed. The Parish Guild will meet instead at 11:15 a.m. at the Expo Center for a free luncheon and speaker.

The Pottawatomie County Pedalers will meet 6 p.m. at the Bicycle Shop with mountain bikes. For more information, call Andy at 650-0887.

City of Shawnee retirees will meet 5:30 p.m. at Bentons Cafe.

Wednesday
Mays Home Care will hold a flu shot clinic 9 a.m. at the Shawnee Community Center, 804 S. Park. Mays will provide flu vaccinations at no cost to recipients with Medicare Part B. All others will be $20. Residents with Medicare cards need to bring them to the clinic.

The retired railroaders will meet at 11 a.m. at the I Don’t Care Restaurant, located at the Best Western Cinderella Hotel, 623 Kickapoo Spur, Shawnee.

The retirees of Oklahoma Natural Gas Co. will hear from Roger Mitchell, ONG president, at their meeting Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the I Don’t Care Restaurant at the Cinderella Inn.

The Shawnee Fire Department clowns, who put on an annual fire safety and prevention show as part of fire prevention week in October, will present an evening show. The firefighter clowns are performing at area elementary schools throughout the week and will provide the evening the show to reach home-schooled children, those students from others areas or anyone wanting to bring their children to the free event. The show begins 6:30 p.m. in the conference center at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center, U.S. 177 and Independence.
