ADA, Okla. —
AP — A man has broken out of the Pontotoc County Jail by using a metal object to pick a lock.
Sheriff's deputies say Mitchell Hoyt Shult is considered armed and dangerous and may be traveling on a stolen motorcycle.
The 33-year-old inmate was left in the visitation room after meeting with his attorney as jailers supervised the evening inmate meal Wednesday.
When the jailer came to retrieve Shults, he was gone. Surveillance camera footage shows Shults using a metal object to pick the lock on the door.
Shults has a lengthy criminal history including grand larceny, eluding a police officer and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
