The Labor of Love Charities “Feel the Warmth” fundraising event scheduled for Jan. 30 was rescheduled due to the ice storm that hit Oklahoma that weekend. The dinner and silent auction will be held at 7 p.m., Feb. 13 at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center.
The fundraiser, which aims to earn the funds needed to purchase a facility to serve the homeless in Shawnee, includes dinner, silent and live auctions and live entertainment. Also during the event, guests will hear from speaker Paul Whitmeyer of The Cross and The Crown Mission in Oklahoma City.
“This is the community’s opportunity to not only see what Labor of Love is doing but to really be a part of standing behind a cause — to end homelessness in Shawnee,” Anthony Rocko, LOL Charities founder, said.
More than 200 tickets have been sold but more are available, Rocko said. Tickets cost $25 each.
