Downtown Shawnee, Inc. has announced the 2nd Annual Downtown Business Merchants Design Contest. Downtown businesses will be judged based on best use of lights, window and door display, originality and amount of work put into the design.
The contest is being sponsored by Brown & Sons’s Towing and Recovery, Wintco/Sonic, Shawnee CTV and Shawnee News-Star.
The first place winner will receive $500 in cash, second place winner will receive a $100 gift card from Sonic and the third place winner will receive a $50 gift card from Sonic. All will receive a televised interview with Shawnee CTV.
Winners will be taped the morning of Dec. 21 and will be aired in conjunction with the Downtown Christmas Parade through Dec. 27.
