In Pottawatomie County, six school districts will hold school board seat elections from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 9 at all district polling locations.
In Earlsboro, Louie A. Goad Jr. and Tracey Poe are running to fill the Office No. 5 seat for that district.
Grove Public School will see three candidates vying for Office No. 1 in that district. The three candidates for that seat are John R. Brown, Ernest R. Clark and Traci Huff. Macomb School District voters will be asked to choose between Scott W. Hawkins and B. J. Jensen for the Office No. 5 seat in that district.
McLoud Public Schools’ Office No. 5 seat will be filled by Joe D. Nolen or Jim Walker, depending on results of elections for that district.
In Tecumseh, three candidates will vie for the Office No. 5 seat for the Tecumseh School Board. Those candidates are Mike Atchley, Sheila Evans and David J. Qualls.
Wanette’s school district will see the Office No. 2 seat filled by either Johnny Lambert or Kelly Teague, after votes are counted in that district.
If no candidate receives at least 50 percent of the vote in his or her race, a run-off election will be held Tuesday, April 6.
