SHAWNEE, Okla. —

Shawnee Kiwanis Club program chairman Lance Worthem, left, introduced Carol Tanner, RN, center, and Shirley Gregory, RN, both of Unity Health Center. The pair gave a presentation at the club’s Wednesday noon meeting at Golden Corral. They spoke about the differences in a “clot” or a “bleed” stroke and about the three-hour window a stoke victim has to get emergency help. They urge anyone who suspects a person of having a stroke, to immediately call 911. Oklahoma is No. 2 nationally in the number of strokes per capita. For more information, call Unity’s Referral Line at 405-395-5400 or e-mail Carol at ctanner@uhcenter.com. PHOTO PROVIDED
