Adults are visiting their hometown libraries for the Summer Reading Program, “Life in the Pages.” Pottawatomie County libraries in McLoud, Shawnee and Tecumseh offer adult programs as well as children’s and teen’s this summer.
• On Tuesday, at 6 p.m. McLoud Public Library, 133 N. Main, local author Ronnye Sharp will take audiences on a journey through Oklahoma’s 100 years of statehood with her recently published, “Oklahoma’s Historical Centennial Cookbook.”
• Adults will learn how to assemble and print scrapbook pages on the computer during a workshop on Computer Scrapbooking June 23, at 2 p.m.
• On June 30, at 7 p.m., local author Crystal Inman will speak about the ins and outs of writing and publishing your own romance novel.
• Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. is Library Day at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History at the University of Oklahoma. free admission with a Pioneer Library System library card.
The Adults Summer Reading Program “Life in the Pages” features Oklahoma authors and their lives in the pages. The program is presented with support from Friends of the Library in each community.
