FireLake Grand’s Jokers Wild presents Dale K, hypnotist-comedian, on Nov. 20.

“Dale K has an amazing hypnosis show that convinces even the strongest skeptics,” said Brad Peltier, director of marketing for FireLake Grand Casino. “The audience is in for a hysterical hypnosis show with a rock concert feel.”
Growing up in Woodstock, Ontario, Dale K was obsessed with television. He includes Sesame Street, Johnny Carson, David Letterman, and Hee Haw among his favorites. He saw his first hypnotist on television and was “immediately hooked.” He began to attend shows featuring hypnotists and eventually found some that encouraged him. Then he studied clinical hypnosis courses.
Dale K considers himself lucky to be able to do what he enjoys and make a living at it. He travels more than 250,000 miles a year performing in a wide variety of venues. He says he wants to educate people about the truth of hypnosis. He wants to impart how real it is and, of course, how entertaining it can be, Peltier said.
While the movies usually portray hypnosis as walking zombies that are controlled by an evil hypnotist, Dale K reveals that hypnotism is not control, but rather an encouragement through relaxation.
His hobbies involve visiting museums, amusement parks, movies, concerts, and traveling. He also loves to fly large power kites.
Tickets are available at the FireLake Grand Casino Gift Shop or by calling 405-96-GRAND. Or log on to www.firelakegrand.com.
