Rural communities across Oklahoma are facing serious challenges to their community sustainability and economic vitality. Increasingly, local leadership is called upon to face these challenges in new and creative ways. As a direct result of the community focus group, the McLoud Public Library invites the public to an information session on building entrepreneurial economies, a McLoud Economic Development Program.
On Thursday, Feb. 4, join multiple presenters to discuss pro-active, entrepreneurial strategies and resources that communities can use to strengthen services and expand opportunities for its members. The program will begin at 6 p.m., with light refreshments served. The presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m.
Speakers will include Oklahoma Department of Commerce Economic Development Specialist Martin Roberts, Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank’s Senior Community Affairs Advisor Steve Shepelwich, Oklahoma State University Agricultural Economics Assistant Professor and Extension Economist Dave Shideler and Cross Timbers Resource Conservation and Development Council’s
Coordinator Andy Tucket.
