Freddie Wayne Garner, 76, born March 12, 1933 passed away Thursday, Oct. 29,2009.
He was the son to the late Sam and Mildred (Nelson) Garner.
Mr. Garner graduated Berry High School in 1951 and immediately joined the United States Air Force, serving 20 years.
He enjoyed a life long love of bluegrass music. An accomplished musician, he played several string instrunents, the banjo being his favorite. Other interests included raising and showing horses and restoring vintage sport cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Wynell Cook and Shirley Ann Cannon and one brother, Samuel Wilford Garner.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Czarina and Eduardo Santos of Tecumseh, Daria Jayne and Kurt Fleischfresser of McLoud, his son Fenton Wayne Garner of Berry, Ala., sister Merle Garner Craft; five grandchildren, Rita Hunnicutt, Wayne Thompson, Trace Thompson, Kyle Fleischfresser and Allie Fleischfresser, one great granddaughter Kaylee Hunnicutt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and a host of extended family members and friends.
