Harry G. Brokeshoulder, 78, of Shawnee, passed away peacefully Jan. 31, 2012, at his home. He along with his twin brother, Harrell, was born Jan. 15, 1934, in Shawnee to Clifton and Minnie Chisholm Brokeshoulder.
Harry graduated from Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kan. He retired from Oklahoma County Highway Department as a construction worker.
We will remember his love and love to Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior who helped him live victoriously to the end.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Harrell, and sister, Helen Brokeshoulder Arns.
Survivors include two brothers, Eddie of Shawnee and Clifton of Surprise, Ariz.; five sisters, Loretta Schwarz of West Linn, Ore., Wynona Lumpmouth of Glendale, Ariz., Glenda Johnson Brokeshoulder of Woodbridge, Va., Katrina Brokeshoulder of Albuquerque, N.M., and Rita Brokeshoulder of Shawnee; nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends.
Harry will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, at Family of Faith Church, 30 Kin-Ville Road, Shawnee, seven miles north of I-40 and Harrison Street on Highway 18. Interment at Tecumseh Cemetery is directed by Johnson Funeral Services. Luncheon will be served at the Sac & Fox Multipurpose Center, 215 N. Harrison, Shawnee, following burial.
