Bernard Irvin Webb was born on Aug. 2, 1918, in Meeker, and departed this life on Monday, July 26, 2010 at the age of 91.
Bernard, the son of John Jack and Martha (Bingham) Webb, was a life-long resident of Meeker. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II. He married Jennie Elizabeth Stearman on Dec. 13, 1943, in Fresno, Calif. After the service, Bernard worked for Tinker Air Force Base where he retired.
Jennie preceded him in death on March 1, 2002. His parents; four brothers, Ted, Ralph, Jack and Frank; three sisters, Twyla Kinnett, Nina Lowe and Joan Risher, also preceded Bernard in death.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Jean Webb of Meeker; grandsons, Jeremy Webb and his wife, Cara, of Jenks, Jason Webb of Jacksonville, Texas, one great-grandchild on the way; sister, Edna Sears of Las Vegas Nevada; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Viewing and visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Meeker.
A graveside service will be held from 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, at Jamison Cemetery in Meeker with the Rev. Joe Jones officiating. Service is under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
