SHAWNEE, Okla. —

Shawnee resident Harriett H. Michener, 85, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at her home. 
She was born June 26, 1923 in Comanche, Okla., to Cecil Vernon Hart and Myrle Elaine (Duncan) Hale.  Harriett attended high school in Shawnee.
She married Leroy J. Michener and they enjoyed 67 loving years together.
She worked many jobs around Shawnee, and in the later years worked with her husband at the Michener Dental Lab. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her step-parents, John Alva Hale and Beatrice Hart; brother and sister-in-law, John D. and Violet Hale. 
Those left to cherish their memories are her children, Judith Michener of the home and Greg Cameron Michener and wife Glenda of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Amy Ruth Creed of Tulsa, Melody Ann Phillips and husband Linden of Muskogee, and Garrett Lee Michener and wife Laura of Eufaula; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Anna Sue Williams, Eloise McEldowney, Clara and Van Lafferty, John R and Rose Michener, and Harold Dean Michener; six nieces and nephews; many other family members and friends.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their loving care. 
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday . 
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home with the Rev. David Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
